macOS 11: Big Sur

Minimum System Requirements
To run macOS Big Sur, your Mac needs to meet the following minimum system requirements:
- Processor: 64-bit processor
- Memory: 4 GB of RAM (8 GB or more recommended)
- Disk Space: 35.5 GB of available disk space
- Graphics: Metal-capable graphics card (Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 or later, or NVIDIA GeForce 640M or later, or AMD Radeon HD 7950 or later)
- Operating System: macOS Catalina or later (for upgrade) or a blank disk for a clean install
- Internet Connection: Required for some features
Compatible Mac Models
The following Mac models are compatible with macOS Big Sur:
- iMac: Late 2014 or later
- MacBook: Early 2015 or later
- MacBook Air: Mid 2013 or later
- MacBook Pro: Late 2013 or later
- Mac Mini: Late 2014 or later
- Mac Pro: Late 2013 or later
- iMac Pro: 2017 or later
- Mac Pro: Late 2013 or later
NOTE
Note that macOS Catalina is a 64-bit only operating system, and it does not support 32-bit apps.
